Approximate finished size using my standard gauges:
#3 yarn + 3 mm hook, gauge 25 stitches × 19 rows = 4" × 4": approximately 21" × 32" (53 × 80 cm) – a great rectangular pillow size.
#4 yarn + 4 mm hook, gauge 12 stitches × 15 rows = 4" × 4": approximately 43" × 40" (110 × 102 cm) – a compact blanket size.
Approximate Yardage Needed – you will need more yarn than the chart-only amount because the yarn is carried/pulled through the project:
• White: ~579 m = 633 yd (4 × 50 g skeins) + ~944 m = 1,032 yd (7 × 50 g skeins) for the backside of the pillow
• Black: ~365 m = 400 yd (3 × 50 g skeins)
With #3 yarn, this design works beautifully as a rectangular pillow. With #4 yarn, it makes a fun statement blanket. Finished size may vary depending on yarn, hook, tension and personal gauge.
